Dr Rakesh Mehan

Doctor Mehan is a specialist in the investigation and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions.

Rakesh trained at the University of Manchester and undertook post graduate training in Radiology on the Manchester training scheme.

He joined Bolton Hospital in 2001 as a Consultant with responsibility for establishing Musculoskeletal Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound services, together with image-guided therapeutic injection technology. He now brings this expertise to Professor Fehily’s team at Manchester Hip Clinic.

Rakesh is active in research and has presented his work at national and international meetings. He lectures on the Manchester Radiology training scheme and the MSc course in Rheumatology at Manchester University and also examines on several Radiology Fellowship examination courses
