A revolutionary approach to rehabilitation and training, the Alter G anti-gravity treadmill gives Manchester Hip Clinic patients the opportunity to exercise without pain, even while they’re recovering from surgery or injury.

Developed at NASA, the technology allows users to walk or exercise at anywhere between 20% and 100% of their body weight, without the need for crutches. This allows people who have had hip surgery to maintain their cardio- vascular fitness and restore normal gait pattern, muscle action and function as quickly as possible while their body goes through the normal healing process.

The Alter G system has been tried and tested by elite distance runners including Mo Farah and Paula Radcliffe, and is also used by most premiership football teams.
